Letter for a Trip to Japan

Dear Mitsugi, Chiaki, Kazuo and Kimiko,

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is _________, I’m 22 and a part-time student living in the great state of New Jersey. I am currently studying computer science as well as working part time. In my spare time, I like playing video games via PC, listening to your amazing podcast and watching a few animes/reading some manga. I’m writing to you in hopes that you would consider taking my girlfriend (I’ll introduce her next) and me with you to the land of the rising sun. Nicci (girlfriend) is employed full time and has already graduated from a local University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She is also going back to school at night to earn a computer programming certification. She also enjoys listening to your podcast (she’s actually the one who got me hooked), she games (swoon), and also watches a ton of anime (double swoon). Some of our favorites include anything by Miyazaki, anything slice of life (sup Kimiko? ;), Shokujeki no Soma, Free, Ouran High School Host Club, Akame ga Kill, Chihayafuru, Wakako-Zake, Polar Bear Cafe, Erased, Kuragehime, NANA, No. 6 and Ore Monogatari.

I’m very excited to try authentic Japanese food IN Japan, as we have already tried all the local places nearby and I’m sure they don’t even compare.

The podcast episode where Mitsugi announced your trip to Japan in spring of next year could not have come at a better time. We recently started planning our own trip during that exact time frame. Although we were s…
